Small builders like MJ Franks are able to source small amounts of the very best of the protected hardwoods that factories just can't justify the cost of. In fact the very best graded tonal hardwoods are in very limited quantities, this makes these highest grades of tonewoods unsuitable for factory production. Factories want consistency, cost and availablity for their materials.
