I was introduced to Marshall Bruné's unique designs through the author and guitarist John Fellman.
John told me he had a guitar unlike anything he had seen and he brought it over to my shop.
What ended up in my hands is one of the most unique and special designs I have seen in a long time from a very talented Luthier.
Marshall is the son of Richard Bruné of Evanston IL, who is one of the world's most respected master luthiers in the world.
Marshall himself though a young man, conducts masterclasses on French polishing techniques. So even though in his 20's his experience is well beyond is years.
Though steeped in the flamenco guitar, Marshall has ventured into the steel string world with a truely unque design.
The guitar has an additional soundhole, which allows for a very strong presence in volume, with access to the the entire fretboard. The back is curved or slightly rounded to add to the projection. The bracing is totally new and unique, unlike anything I have seen.
If you are seeking a fresh perspective you should seriously consider Marshall's guitars.
The sound is very warm and comfortable. Precise and direct.
